ACT to be the first city outside Europe to transition to 100% renewables!
Great news! Research published today by The Australia Institute shows that in October 2019 the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) are going to meet their target set in 2016 of reaching 100% renewable electricity by January 1, 2020.
They will be the first state or territory in Australia to achieve this, and it also makes them the first jurisdiction* outside Europe to reach this goal, and only the 8th in the world!
